Highly
individual numerals in comedic hi-jinks convey the not-to-be-trifled-with concept that
numbers-- although unchanging--can be lots of fun. |
|
Twirling and whirling,
three groups of numerals dance, making mighty attempts to maintain their distinct
personalities in the face of persistent pressure. The irascible 1, 2, 3, and 4, though
frail and wiry, want to impose ballroom dancing on the others. 5 and 6 sportingly try to
conform, but can't help reverting to raucous jazz dancing. 710 don't see the point
of being anything but western line dancers. Scuffles, round-ups, and coercions ensue until
14 have their way. 5 and 6, however, break out in a jitterbug that allows everyone
to go back to dancing in "their own styles, again!" |
|
Impeccably metered
rhymes provide the cadence of each dance, while spare art lends clean energy to the
challenge of acceptance. A stylish number line keeps count, providing numeric value for
each number. |
